RV Batteries Not Charging

How to think about battery charging issues, whether on shore power, generator, or tow vehicle.

Converter Output

The converter charges the battery when plugged in. Use a multimeter to check voltage at the battery. It should be 13.2V+ when plugged in. If it's 12.4V or less, the converter isn't charging.

Disconnect Switch

Ensure your Battery Disconnect (Store/Use) switch is in the 'Use' or 'On' position. If disconnected, the charger cannot reach the batteries.
