RV Leak Around Skylight or Roof Vent
Skylights are common leak points because the plastic domes can crack from UV exposure or hail, and the sealant around the flange takes a beating from the sun.
Cracked Dome
Inspect the skylight plastic itself. Hairline cracks around the screws or across the dome are common. If cracked, the only reliable fix is replacing the skylight.
Sealant Failure
Often the sealant covering the screw heads has cracked. Water seeps past the screw and drips inside. Resealing with self-leveling lap sealant is the standard repair.
Condensation vs. Leak
In cold weather, shower skylights can gather significant condensation that drips, mimicking a leak. Ensure you run the bathroom fan during showers to rule this out.
