RV Water Heater Not Producing Hot Water

What to check when your RV water heater runs but you never get hot water.

Bypass Valve

The most common culprit is the winterization bypass valve. If it is partially open, cold water mixes with the hot water, resulting in lukewarm showers. Ensure valves are set correctly for 'Summer' use.

Heating Element

If running on electric, the element may be burnt out (especially if turned on dry). A multimeter continuity test can confirm if the element needs replacement.
