RV Water Leaking Under the Sink

Finding water under a cabinet is a common RV annoyance. Road vibration often loosens the threaded plastic fittings used in RV plumbing.

Hand-Tighten Fittings

Check the white plastic nut connecting the PEX line to the faucet. These should be hand-tight. Do not use a wrench as you might crack the plastic. A quarter turn is often all it takes to stop a drip.

Cracked Faucet Housing

Standard RV faucets are often lightweight plastic. Over winter, if not properly winterized, water trapped in the faucet body freezes and cracks the casing. The only fix is replacement.

Drain Issues

Sometimes the leak isn't the supply line but the drain trap. Ensure the P-trap nut is tight and the drain flange is properly sealed with plumber's putty.
