RV Water Pump Not Running
You flip the pump switch, but there is silence and no water pressure. This is typically an electrical issue rather than a plumbing one.
Check the Switch and Fuse
Is the pump switch lit? Check the 12V fuse panel for a blown fuse labeled 'Pump' or 'Monitor Panel'.
Pressure Switch
The pump has a pressure switch that cuts power when lines are pressurized. If this switch fails or gets stuck, the pump thinks it's already at full pressure and won't turn on. A gentle tap on the pump head sometimes temporarily frees it.
Frozen Lines
In winter, if the pump head freezes, the motor cannot turn. Attempting to run it can blow the fuse or burn out the motor. Thaw the RV thoroughly before trying again.
